YMCA Cannon Hill Community Centre is a place for anyone in the community to connect, have fun and seek support.

Our centre is available to be hired for community and recreation activities and events. We also offer support to those in the local community who may be seeking advice, relief or assistance.

Emergency Relief

The Emergency Relief Program provides financial and/or material support to Queenslanders in financial crisis. The program is funded by the Government. The Cannon Hill Community Centre is always here for you. We provide immediate temporary relief to those who need a hand up, and can also connect you to other community organisations that can support you.

Programs & Events

The Cannon Hill Community Centre holds regular programs and events based on community interest and need. If you’re looking to connect with others or find a new hobby, this is your opportunity. FREE Digital Technology Lessons

Contact to make an appointment

Our centre offers free technology lessons for people of all ages and skill levels to learn new skills for using technology such as computers, laptops & devices as well as social media and online shopping. Each lesson is delivered by our friendly volunteers & staff where you can learn at your own pace.

The program is supported by Be Connected Network, a network of 3500 community organisations who support older Australians to learn technology.

The Y Cannon Hill Community Centre provides a free service to help community members correctly complete both paper and online forms. These forms include Centrelink forms, Medicare forms, housing applications, application forms and any other general forms.

JP Services (Justice of Peace Services)

Monday 1PM - 3PM (not on public holidays)

A complimentary Justice of the Peace service is available at YMCA Cannon Hill Community Centre every Monday from 1PM to 3PM.

Facility Hire

We have rooms available for hire to individuals and groups within the community. Our spaces are ideal for community groups, dance groups, sports/recreation groups and anyone else looking to host an event.

Services: Our dream is to support these vulnerable women, so that they can become self-sufficient, re-established themselves into the community, and finally, come full circle to empower other women who have found themselves in similar situations.

Bulimba Community Centre – Seniors Club

Wednesday (except school holidays) 9 -12.30

Door entry includes morning tea & lunch. Go on bus trips and other outings & enjoy musical performances & speakers during Seniors Club time.
